Quality and Compliance Coordinator
Grade 12 Salary range $58,136 to $65,436 FLSA Exempt
I. QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education
1. Master’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years administrative or program compliance experience
OR
2. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years administrative or program compliance experience.
B. Skills
1. Advanced computer and information technology skills including electronic health records, data bases etc.
2. Strong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to multi task, problem solve, prioritize and follow through on work load as needed
4. Ability to conduct investigations and make recommendations for corrective action.
5. Detail oriented and ability to audit based on regulations and/or requirements.
6. Knowledge of regulations and requirements of agency programs
7. Highly motivated, self-starter and can work well individually or in a team environment
8. Legally able to operate a vehicle in NYS
II. RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Quality and Compliance
III. MAJOR FUNCTIONS
A. Administrative
1. Conducts audits to ensure compliance with regulations, that program requirements are being met and high quality standards are maintained.
2. Provide feedback and guidance to programs, and implement strategies to improve quality and compliance of documentation and services.
3. Provide reports to Administration regarding adherence to standards and areas of potential risk.
4. Assist with developing and implementing required Plans of Correction.
5. Conduct follow-up audits to monitor improvements and Plans of Correction.
6. Assist in developing and tracking Agency outcomes to refine, develop and manage Quality goals.
7. Assist in data collection, analysis and compilation of reports as required to analyze Agency compliance and performance.
8. Assist with tracking Agency and program training requirements, and coordinating training as needed.
9. Revise Agency training presentations as needed.
10. Assist in providing support with external audits and site visits.
11. Conduct Special Investigations as assigned.
12. Conduct Agency Surveys as requested.
13. Maintain knowledge of agency regulations and requirements.
14. Assist with HIPAA related inquiries and privacy issues.
15. Responsible for maintaining strict program and client confidentiality.
16. Participates in staff meetings, training activities and relevant committees.
17. Performs other related duties as required.
